About Library

The library of D.A.N College of Education for Women is established in 1955. Library housed in spacious premises covering an area of 1800 sq. ft. reading hall having an area of 800 sq. ft. . Library has automated with the ILMS software: e-Granthalaya Nature of Automation: Fully Automation and all books, Staff members and Students entries have been done.

• Library Software is upgraded regularly.
• Library has a 20912 books included Book-Bank collections
• All books are classified with DDC scheme.
• One terminal is reserved for students to search information through OPAC.
• Various types of reports can be generated  by using e-Granthalaya software
• Book database is created along with user’s database.
• Issue/return process running with automation.
• Each book and users’ borrower card are barcoded.

The reading room is well furnished to accommodate the students and faculty. It provides a friendly atmosphere study. New arrivals of books and journals are displayed on separate stands and racks. Security of resources is ensured through a system of checking at the exit point for by Library attendant. Visitors are also required to signature in the entry register at the time of entry in the library. It provides support to its users in the form of reference service and orientation program. The library has rich collection of 20,912 books and of also subscription 15 journals/ Magazines. Our library has subscription of N-List e-platform in which students can access more than 6000+ journals, 1, 64300+ e-books . It holds a special collection in the multi-disciplinary field of education and is having good collection of rare books, reference books, general books, text books, thesis and dissertations in the field of education. It provides remote access to e-resources and is automated with e-Granthalaya’ Software. There is also provision of book bank facility for needy and meritorious students. Various support facilities like internet surfing and reprographic services are available to the readers. Books collection Year wise
